Material Planner required by leading manufacturing company based near Stourbridge.
The successful Material Planner will be responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of raw materials to support production.
Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will proactively manage material supply, expedite deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and resolve potential shortages before they impact manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities – Material Planner
Expedite supplier deliveries to ensure uninterrupted production.
Monitor MRP-generated requirements and supplier schedules.
Identify and mitigate material shortages and supply chain risks.
Build strong relationships with suppliers to improve delivery performance.
Maintain accurate ERP data, purchase orders, and inventory records.
Analyse supplier performance, inventory trends, and material availability.
Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Logistics, and Production teams to drive continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following – Material Planner
A background in a similar role, gained in an automotive manufacturing or equivalent fast paced manufacturing environment
Proven background in materials expediting, supply chain coordination, or materials planning.
Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and able to pick up new systems with ease.
Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
Strong understanding of inventory management, lead times, and supplier scheduling.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast-moving environment.
