The QHSE Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the engineering and production departments by ensuring that all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental practices are effectively implemented across the business. The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, industry, project standards and internal procedures, while promoting a strong QHSE culture and continuous improvement across all engineering activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of QHSE systems aligned with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety).
  • Conduct QHSE audits and inspections across engineering design offices, fabrication shops, and on-site project locations.
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure QHSE is embedded into all stages of design, planning, fabrication, and installation.
  • Facilitate risk assessments and method statement reviews for engineering activities and ensure control measures are effectively communicated and implemented.
  • Support root cause analysis and investigation of incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared.
  • Coordinate and deliver QHSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training relevant to engineering environments, such as machinery safety, lifting operations, and hazardous substances.
  • Monitor QHSE performance metrics, prepare reports for management, and recommend improvements based on data trends.
  • Liaise with external bodies, clients, and contractors to ensure QHSE requirements are understood and met throughout project execution.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a QHSE role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes with the ability to evaluate, analyse data and produce reports.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes, tools, equipment, and project lifecycle stages.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
