Following the promotion of a valued team member, we're looking to hire a Customer Service Advisor to take on this position with perhaps one of the nicest places to work in the area!

Please note: Interviews will be held between 6th and 14th August.

Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm with an early finish on Fridays.

Salary: The plan is to pay around £27,000 but please do let us know your salary requirements. In addition to the salary, this role can offer a very good benefits package including private medical healthcare, 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays and the office closes over the Christmas period too!

Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, GL10 - with the option to work from home two days per week if you would like to, once you've been trained.

Job status: Permanent. Planned start date: This position is available immediately, or we're happy to wait for the right person if you have to give notice to your current employer.

About the job: Joining a small group of friendly people in smart, modern offices, your role as Customer Service Advisor will see you taking enquiries from business customers over the phone and by email and then providing information and processing data regarding the company's product range, whilst making sure that the best customer service is given at all times.

Working in a small team supporting key business customers, this is not a call centre type job so you won't be handling huge volumes of enquiries from members of the public. With business customers in a range of industries, to include government departments, and offering a high value, high quality product range, this position offers a great experience in a very nice environment.

You will be given time to learn the computer system being used and you'll also be given great training on the company's product range so you'll feel confident to deliver a great service along with the rest of the small team.

The offices are all newly decorated, with new equipment and modern break out rooms for taking lunch or getting to know your new colleagues. There's even a table tennis table and other fun things to use at break times if that's your thing (you won't be forced to use them if it isn't!).

Role and Responsibilities for Customer Service Advisor:

  • Handling business customer enquiries by telephone and e-mail
  • Responding to customer enquiries in a timely manner
  • Inputting customer orders onto computer database
  • Coordinating with delivery firms
  • Communicating with internal departments to make sure customer orders are processed and delivered

Skills & Experience for Customer Service Advisor:

To be successful in this role, it's important that you've used a customer order processing software package before. This might be something like Oracle, Unit4, SAP, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Acumatica or anything which you can type customer details into or look up and access the details you need. You should have previous customer service experience too.

You’ll also need:

  • Clear and professional, yet friendly communication style
  • To be accurate, with great attention to detail
  • The ability to manage your own workload
  • The ability to show patience and understanding, helping customers wherever you can
  • Sound computer skills to use the customer order processing software plus Microsoft Word, basic Excel and Microsoft Outlook for emails
