CVM World is looking for a motivated, ambitious and commercially minded graduate to join our successful sales team at our headquarters in Knypersley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career who wants to learn consultative, relationship-led sales within a growing, family-owned manufacturing business. A business, marketing or related degree would be helpful, but it is not essential. What matters most is attitude, communication skills, curiosity and the desire to develop.

We design and build specialist minibuses and vehicle conversions for schools, charities, blue-light services and community organisations across the UK. Every vehicle we sell makes a practical difference to the people and organisations we support, and this role will play an important part in helping customers find the right solution.

About CVM World: CVM World is a growing SME built on the core values of One Team, Openness, Quality and Safety. These values guide how we work with each other, how we support our customers and how we maintain high standards across the business.

  • One Team: We support and challenge each other, communicate well and work together to get the job done.
  • Openness: We are honest, approachable and constructive, and we encourage ideas and continuous improvement.
  • Quality: We take pride in our work, pay attention to detail and aim to get things right first time.
  • Safety: We look after ourselves, our colleagues and our customers by working safely and responsibly.

Why This Role Is Different:

  • Structured graduate sales development with mentoring from experienced managers.
  • Supportive, family-run culture where your contribution is valued.
  • Office-based role at our Knypersley headquarters, with exposure to customers, vehicles and the wider business.
  • 9-day fortnight working pattern, giving over 20 additional non-working days per year.
  • Clear opportunity to progress into account management, business development or future sales leadership.
  • Meaningful customers across education, care, charities, community transport and public services.

The Role:

As a Graduate Sales Executive, you will learn the full customer journey from first enquiry through to quotation, vehicle order, handover and repeat business. You will be developed to understand our products, our customers, our finance options and the specialist vehicle conversion sector. This is not a high-pressure cold-calling role. It is consultative, professional and relationship-driven. You will be expected to work towards targets, but you will be given the training, support and product knowledge needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond professionally to inbound sales enquiries by phone, email and online channels.
  • Generate and qualify new leads with support from the sales and marketing teams.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, charities, fleet buyers, care providers, councils and other organisations.
  • Learn and apply consultative sales techniques including questioning, needs analysis, solution selling and follow-up.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and customer information accurately.
  • Use the CRM system to track enquiries, opportunities, follow-up activity and customer communication.
  • Work with marketing on campaigns, customer contact, LinkedIn outreach and sector-specific sales activity.
  • Attend customer meetings, shows, vehicle demonstrations and handovers when required.
  • Develop a strong understanding of CVM World products, finance options, customer sectors and vehicle conversion solutions.
  • Contribute ideas to improve sales processes, customer experience and business growth.

Training and Development:

You will be supported through a structured development plan designed to build your confidence, commercial awareness and product knowledge. This may include:

  • Initial product immersion and factory/conversions familiarisation.
  • Shadowing experienced sales colleagues and managers.
  • CRM, quotation and finance training.
  • Customer communication and consultative sales coaching.
  • Regular reviews, feedback and personal development planning.
  • Opportunity to develop towards account management, a more specialist sales or leadership role.

What We Are Looking For:

We care more about potential, attitude and work ethic than previous sales experience. You are likely to thrive in this role if you are:

  • A recent graduate or early-career applicant with strong communication skills.
  • Interested in business, marketing, sales, automotive, manufacturing or customer relationships.
  • Confident speaking with customers and able to build rapport professionally.
  • Curious, organised and willing to learn.
  • Motivated by targets, personal growth and commercial success.
  • Reliable, resilient and able to follow through on commitments.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and contributing ideas.
  • Positive, professional and aligned with our values of One Team, Openness, Quality and Safety.

A full UK driving licence would be helpful but is not essential.

Benefits:

  • 9-day fortnight working pattern.
  • 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Birthday off.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Uniform provided.
  • Structured CPD, mentoring and professional development.
  • Supportive working environment with a strong focus on work-life balance.
  • Progression opportunities for the right candidate.
  • Commission and Reward.

Basic salary: £27,000-£29,000 depending on experience.

Training period: first 3-6 months focused on learning, shadowing and supported selling.

First-year OTE: £34,000-£38,000 providing agreed activity and sales targets are met.

Year-two OTE: £38,000-£42,000 (uncapped).
