The Role
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving site performance through both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Electrical fault finding and maintenance on production machinery
- Working with three-phase motors, sensors, relays, contactors, inverters, breakers, switches, and power supplies
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Using test equipment including multimeter for diagnostics and fault finding
- Mechanical maintenance including conveyors, rollers, bearings, pulleys, gearboxes, shafts, belts, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability projects
- Carrying out component replacements, strip-downs, and rebuild work where required
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A recognised engineering qualification (ideally Electrical)
- Proven maintenance experience in an industrial environment (e.g. FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage, packaging, utilities)
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills with a focus on root cause analysis
- PLC experience (advantageous but not essential)
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
