Details
The role could include the following, but roles can be tailored for experience and specialisms:
Undertake and support other staff with preparing year-end accounts for a wide range of companies, partnerships and sole traders.
Undertake and assist other staff with the preparation of management accounts.
Be a key part of audit teams undertaking assignments, ensuring each is undertaken in accordance with the pre-assignment instructions.
Manage the VAT process for your clients.
Carry out all aspects of work undertaken efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firms procedures.
Manage a portfolio of clients.
Deliver information to the client promptly and within budget.
Manage client communication effectively.
Identify where there are shortfalls of work to cover chargeability and alert Managers.
Communicate to management progress on workload and plan for efficient completion.
Carry out other tasks that may be assigned to you to support the firm and your colleagues.
The person:
A keen interest in developing yourself and others
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
Strong IT and customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and report-writing skills
Being a nice person and team member will be advantageous as our culture and values are important to us
Have sufficient practice-based audit and/or accounts experience.
