Specialist Engineering and Manufacturing environment

Are you an experienced Stores Coordinator, Stores Controller, Stores Operative, Stores and Materials Handling Operative, Inventory Controller looking for an opportunity within a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment? This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a busy Stores function, covering goods-in, stock control, materials handling, shipping and inventory management. You will play an important role in ensuring materials and products are accurately controlled, safely stored and delivered to internal departments and customers on time.

The Stores Coordinator Role:

  • Oversee the Stores function and work closely with Purchasing and other departments across the business.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, manage incoming and outgoing materials, coordinate domestic and international shipments and ensure the Stores operation complies with company procedures and quality standards.

The role would suit someone with previous experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory or materials management environment, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing related business. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, materials planning and waste reduction, helping to improve the overall efficiency of the Stores operation.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced Stores Coordinator / Stores Controller / Stores Operative / Stores Supervisor / Warehouse / Inventory Controller / Materials Handling Operative with a strong understanding of materials handling and stock control.

  • Experience working within a Stores or Warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of materials handling and inventory management.
  • Experience managing domestic and international shipping operations.
  • Experience using a computer / PC based business systems e.g., ERP / MRP systems etc.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively with different departments across an engineering or manufacturing environment.
