At Nexperia, our R&D department is expanding its Product Modelling team with the addition of a Product Modelling Engineer. If you enjoy solving problems, have a scientific mindset and a desire to realise ideas into real products that our customers will use in the future, this could be the role for you. We are looking for a Product Modelling Engineer who is keen to develop new ways of modelling electrical behaviour and help bring our next generation of products to life. You will take ownership of a wide variety of initiatives to predict the performance of our new technologies. Using innovative thinking, you will simulate how our technologies would work under various scenarios to create new or improved products for our customers. Working with development teams across the organisation, you will develop innovative Virtual Prototyping methods to solve physics, electronics and manufacturing problems.

You will:

  • Develop and validate virtual prototyping for advanced power MOSFET platforms
  • Develop all new silicon technologies with simulation support
  • Collaborate with international engineering teams to solve complex device challenges
  • Support internal and external customers through problem-solving and training

What you will need

Essential

  • BSc/MSc/MEng/PhD in relevant engineering background (electronics/semiconductor physics/mathematics)
  • To be a self-motivated learner who enjoys tackling new technical challenges
  • Prior experience in a similar or relevant field

Beneficial

  • Circuit simulation and/or SPICE modelling experience
  • Knowledge of Power semiconductor principles
  • Strong maths skills for generating new modelling methods
  • Programming experience
