Are you an experienced audit, compliance, governance or risk professional looking to take the next step into a leadership role while making a genuine difference to people's lives? Creative Support is a Registered Provider of Social Housing and a leading social care provider supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and other support requirements across England.

We are looking for a motivated and proactive professional to join our Internal Audit Team as Internal Audit Team Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a highly regarded team that plays a critical role in safeguarding the finances of the people we support, protecting charitable resources and providing independent assurance across a large and diverse organisation.

Working closely with the Company Secretary and Head of Internal Audit, you will:

  • Supervise a small team of Internal Auditors
  • Oversee the annual audit programme
  • Help shape the department's priorities in response to organisational risks and emerging challenges
  • Travel nationally to audit and support services
  • Coordinate national audit activity
  • Lead complex investigations into financial irregularities
  • Review policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with services and departments to drive meaningful improvements

The role offers significant variety and influence. You will engage with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, from frontline service managers through to senior leadership and Board committees. You will produce high-quality reports, present findings to key governance forums, and contribute to the development of strong financial controls, effective governance arrangements and continuous improvement initiatives.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in audit, compliance, governance, risk management or a related field, together with excellent analytical, organisational and people-management skills. Previous leadership experience is essential, as is the ability to build positive relationships, manage competing priorities and communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.

This role would particularly suit someone looking to develop their management experience while building a career in internal audit, governance, assurance or risk within a large and values-driven organisation.
