Based in Stockport, we are a specialist in the design and build of inspection and simulation machines. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our team and seeking a Graduate Engineer to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support, diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and support service interventions and projects.
  • System Management: Work towards supporting and overseeing system performance, conduct regular audits and performance assessments, and ensure optimal system reliability.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of service activities, system configurations, and equipment maintenance.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, provide clear feedback, explain product functionality, and manage technical issues to maximize customer benefit.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all service activities comply with company policies, industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant legislation.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including design and product development, to resolve technical problems and implement system improvements.

Person Specification

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (e.g. Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience in a service engineering role would be an advantage, but not essential as on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical or electronic systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, customer service, leadership, teamwork, and adaptability.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to meet service needs and respond to breakdowns.
  • Full UK driving license and a valid passport with no travel restrictions are essential.
  • Flexibility, professionalism, and a proactive approach with drive to identify improvements, monitor service health and proactively address potential issues to prevent future problems.
  • A commitment to service excellence and a desire to understand and respond to client problems.
