An established and growing healthcare-related organisation is seeking a commercially focused Procurement Category Manager to take ownership of a high-value portfolio of medical products and consumables.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to drive category performance, strengthen supplier partnerships, and deliver commercial value within a fast-paced business environment.
The Opportunity Reporting into the wider commercial function, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, managing supplier performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring a competitive and sustainable product offering.
Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams, you will play a key role in supporting business growth and profitability Key Responsibilities Develop and implement category plans aligned to commercial and operational objectives.
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring high standards of service, quality, reliability, and value.
Lead negotiations on pricing, commercial agreements, rebates, and contract terms.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, margin improvement, and sourcing optimisation.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to inform procurement decisions.
Support new product introductions, supplier selection processes, and range development initiatives.
About You We are interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate: Experience as a Procurement Category Manager, Category Manager, Senior Buyer, or in a similar procurement/commercial role Experience working within medical consumables, healthcare products, veterinary products, life sciences, or a related sector.
Strong supplier management, sourcing, and negotiation capabilities.
Excellent commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
