Are you experienced in stores, inventory control, materials management, or production logistics? We are recruiting for a Stores & Materials Controller to support a highly advanced manufacturing operation in Stevenage. Working within a fast-paced production environment, you'll play a vital role in ensuring materials, components, and kits are available when required to keep manufacturing activities running efficiently and on schedule.

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing inventory, stock control, and material movements within a manufacturing stores environment.
- Issuing, receiving, and accurately recording stock transactions using SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Supporting production teams through line-side replenishment and kitting activities.
- Loading manufacturing work packages in line with production schedules and delivery requirements.
- Maintaining stock accuracy, including the control of shelf-life and controlled items.
- Supporting packing activities and managing tooling issue and return processes.
- Loading and unloading deliveries while ensuring accurate documentation and traceability.
- Working closely with production, logistics, and manufacturing teams to support operational performance.
What We're Looking For
- Essential
- Experience working within a manufacturing stores, materials control, inventory, or production logistics environment.
- Previous experience using SAP or another ERP system.
- Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work to established procedures.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team within a production environment.
- Desirable
- Experience within line-side stores or manufacturing support operations.
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Knowledge of Kanban, two-bin systems, or lean manufacturing processes.
- Experience with kitting and material issue activities.
- Microsoft Excel skills.
- Manual handling, ESD, lifting and slinging, or overhead crane experience.
