We are currently recruiting for an experienced Resident Liaison Officer to join an established construction company working on a major, long-term project in Stevenage. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction liaison professional looking for stability and continuity, with the successful candidate joining one company and working on one major contract expected to run for at least three years.
Based from the site office in Stevenage, you will work on site Monday to Friday and play a key role in maintaining positive relationships between the construction team, residents and the local community.
The Role
As Resident Liaison Officer, you will act as the main point of contact for residents affected by the works, ensuring they are kept informed throughout the project and that any queries, concerns or complaints are dealt with promptly and professionally. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for residents affected by the works.
- Keeping residents informed about upcoming works, project timescales and potential disruption.
- Responding to enquiries, concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents and the local community.
- Working closely with site management and construction teams to resolve issues.
- Carrying out regular resident communications and engagement activities.
- Maintaining accurate records of enquiries, complaints, actions and outcomes.
- Ensuring residents receive clear, accurate and timely information throughout the project.
- Helping to minimise disruption and maintain strong relationships between the construction company and the local community.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer, Customer Liaison Officer, Community Liaison Officer or in a similar role.
- Experience within the construction, housing or property sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A confident, approachable and professional manner.
- Experience dealing with residents, customers or members of the public.
- The ability to manage complaints and difficult situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good IT and written communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team.
