Pertemps Recruitment Partnership is recruiting for an experienced Resident Engagement Lead to join the Housing Assurance Team at the London Borough of Harrow. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how residents influence housing services, ensuring tenants and leaseholders are at the heart of decision-making.
Working within the Insight & Housing Strategy Service, you will lead the development, delivery and evaluation of Harrow's Resident Engagement Strategy, ensuring compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing's consumer standards, Housing Ombudsman requirements and sector best practice.
Key Duties:- Act as the first point of contact for resident engagement across Housing Services.
- Lead the development, implementation and review of the Council's Resident Engagement Strategy.
- Design and deliver innovative resident engagement opportunities, including consultation, feedback and co-production activities.
- Plan, coordinate and evaluate resident engagement programmes, ensuring they are inclusive and representative of Harrow's diverse communities.
- Build strong partnerships with residents, council services, voluntary organisations and external stakeholders.
- Provide advice and support to Housing teams on resident engagement best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Identify organisational learning needs and support the development and delivery of training relating to resident engagement.
- Manage the resident engagement budget and oversee volunteers, interns or apprentices where required.
- Experience working within housing, local government or the wider public sector.
- Strong understanding of resident engagement principles and customer-focused service delivery.
- Knowledge of the Regulator of Social Housing, Housing Ombudsman requirements and resident engagement best practice (including TPAS guidance).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering projects to deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with experience of reporting, performance monitoring and data management.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and housing or document management systems.
