The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to support the delivery of major infrastructure programmes within a highly regulated and complex environment.
Working as part of a Project Controls function, you will play a key role in identifying, analysing, managing and reporting project risks and opportunities across the project lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional with experience in infrastructure, construction, engineering, defence or nuclear projects to contribute to high-profile programmes.
The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership, programme teams and key stakeholders to develop and maintain effective risk management processes, support quantitative risk analysis activities, and provide strategic insight to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate risk identification, assessment and management activities across multiple work packages.
Chair regular risk review meetings and workshops.
Maintain and develop project risk registers and associated reporting.
Produce risk dashboards and management information highlighting trends, key risks and mitigation effectiveness.
Support the development of mitigation and opportunity management plans.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure risk information remains accurate, relevant and actionable.
Monitor and report on mitigation actions and risk reduction activities.
Support Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) and Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) activities.
Contribute to Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and Cost Risk Analysis (CRA) reporting.
Support assumptions management and maintain project assumptions databases.
Work closely with planning, change management and project controls teams to understand risk impacts.
Provide strategic risk insight and forecasting to support programme delivery.
Build strong stakeholder relationships across client, supplier and project teams.
Ensure compliance with project governance, assurance and risk management processes.
Essential Experience
Active SC Clearance.
Minimum 5 years' professional experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
Strong experience in project or programme risk management.
Experience supporting major infrastructure, engineering, construction, defence or nuclear projects.
Demonstrable experience facilitating risk workshops and risk reviews.
Experience developing and maintaining risk registers.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience analysing complex project information and identifying trends.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Good working knowledge of project controls processes and methodologies.
Strong IT skills.
