PSPS is looking to appoint its next Head of Finance Delivery, a pivotal leadership role responsible for delivering strategic financial advice, driving financial performance and supporting the long-term success of South Holland District Council. Working as part of our senior finance leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape services, influence key decisions and develop high performing teams.

As a Head of Finance Delivery:

  • Oversee budget monitoring, forecasting, financial planning and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with professional and legislative requirements.
  • Lead the delivery of professional financial management services, ensuring high-quality financial advice, reporting and support for decision-making.
  • Provide strategic financial advice, challenge and assurance to senior stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with client councils, partners and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a team of finance professionals, creating a positive, inclusive and high performing culture.
  • Drive service improvement, innovation and value for money across Financial Services.
  • Deputise for the PSPS Chief Finance Officer when required, providing leadership and continuity across the service.

What You Will Bring:

  • CCAB qualification (such as CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Experience of working within Local Government Finance and providing financial leadership in a complex environment.
  • Experience of leading and developing finance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, governance and statutory reporting.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to a range of audiences.
  • A collaborative leadership style and commitment to continuous improvement.

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid role based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. Travel to PSPS and client locations will be required to support service delivery, stakeholder engagement and committee attendance.
