We are looking for a versatile Business Finance & Office Manager to join a fantastic family-run business based in Wickford.
While the main office is in Wickford, you will occasionally need to travel to local client sites around the Southend area, so having your own car and a full driving licence is essential.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, office-based role.
Please note: As this is a small family business, our client is unable to provide visa sponsorship. Please only apply if you already have the permanent right to work in the UK.
Job purpose:
In this position, you will be the glue that holds the business together.
Youll take charge of day-to-day administration, finance, and general office management to keep everything running efficiently.
As the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and the directors, you will play a key role in supporting the companys growth and maintaining their high standards of service.
A Typical
Day:
No two days are the same here.
You might start your morning responding to customer enquiries and preparing quotes, before moving on to invoicing, reconciling payments, and keeping on top of outstanding accounts.
On the operational side, you'll help coordinate project adminscheduling landscaping works, ordering materials, and liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.
From assisting directors with year-end accounts to resolving client queries, you will keep the office organised and the field teams fully supported.
What we are looking for:
Solid experience in bookkeeping, financial administration, and office management.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to easily prioritise a varied workload.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a natural, customer-focused approach.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new business software.
A proactive problem-solver who is comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with the wider team.
Must have a full driving licence.
