We are seeking an experienced, commercially focused and process-driven Procurement Manager to manage purchasing and supplier operations for a hotel business in Southampton. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of procurement experience, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry, with strong expertise in supplier sourcing, negotiation, cost control and procurement process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement across hotel operations.
  • Source food and beverage supplies, housekeeping products, amenities, maintenance materials and equipment.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms and service agreements with suppliers.
  • Develop clear purchasing procedures and approved supplier processes.
  • Monitor supplier performance, product quality, delivery standards and contractual compliance.
  • Control procurement budgets, stock levels, waste and operational expenditure.
  • Prepare cost comparisons, purchasing reports and supplier-performance reviews.
  • Work closely with finance, operations, housekeeping, maintenance and food and beverage teams.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and relevant UK regulations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Approximately 5-6 years of procurement experience.
  • Hotel or hospitality procurement experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation and cost control.
  • Highly organised, analytical and process-oriented.
  • Strong commercial awareness, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confident using procurement systems, Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Relevant procurement, supply-chain, business or hospitality qualification is desirable.
  • CIPS qualification would be advantageous.
  • Must currently be based in the UK, preferably near Southampton, or be willing to relocate.

What We Offer

  • Salary of £40,000-£50,000, depending on experience.
  • Permanent opportunity with responsibility for improving procurement performance.
  • Relocation to Southampton will be considered.
