Mental Health Support Worker Complex Needs Service: 10-bed Supported Living (Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Complex Needs)

Are you caring, patient and motivated by helping people live safer, happier, more independent lives? We're looking for an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our specialist team. This is a complex role and that's exactly why it matters. You'll be part of a skilled, supportive team helping individuals with high-level needs achieve meaningful progress and stability.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are the same. You'll provide practical, emotional, and personal support tailored to each person's needs, including:

  • Supporting daily routines and personal care
  • Assisting with dietary plans and meal preparation
  • Teaching life skills to promote independence
  • Supporting individuals in the community
  • Using person-centred and PBS approaches
  • Working closely with MDTs, families and external professionals

Activities & Engagement

You’ll also support individuals to take part in meaningful, structured activities that build confidence, reduce anxiety and promote independence. These experiences are an important part of each person's care plan and may include:

  • Physical wellbeing activities such as swimming, cycling and horse riding
  • Social and sensory experiences like cinema trips, concerts and arts & crafts
  • Confidence-building outings including theme parks and community visits
  • Life-enriching opportunities such as baking, UK holidays and occasional trips abroad

These activities aren't just days out they're therapeutic, person-centred experiences that help individuals develop coping strategies, build trust and enjoy a better quality of life.
