Handyman / Carpenter 2 to 3 Week Contract Location: Southampton
Duration: 23 weeks
We are looking for an experienced Handyman / Carpenter to join our team for approximately 23 weeks .
The main requirement is for someone with good carpentry skills who is confident with measuring, cutting and fitting MDF boxing .
Main Duties Measuring boxing areas accurately.
Cutting MDF board using a hand saw and jigsaw.
Pilot drilling timber and securely screwing timber sections together.
Making and fitting MDF boxing in place.
General handyman and site duties as required.
Laying and removing Corex floor protection .
Carrying out minor builders' work, including removing and replacing ceiling tiles to allow plumbing and electrical trades to carry out their work.
Assisting other trades and keeping the work area clean and tidy.
Requirements Previous carpentry or handyman experience.
CSCS
Confident using basic hand and power tools, including a jigsaw and drill.
Able to measure and cut materials accurately.
Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
A good understanding of general construction site practices.
This is a 23 week temporary position , with the possibility of further work for the right person.
