Created by renowned sushi master Endo Kazutoshi and part of Creative Restaurant Group, SUMI has earned a reputation for delivering exceptional Japanese cuisine inspired by authentic traditions, expert craftsmanship and genuine hospitality.

Following the success of our Notting Hill neighbourhood restaurant, SUMI Marylebone will be a gem in one of London's most exciting dining destinations showcasing the finest seasonal ingredients, the best sushi preparation and warm, welcoming service. We're looking for talented individuals to join our founding team from day one, help us bring this exceptional restaurant to life, and grow with us as we establish a new benchmark for Japanese dining in London.

The Role

As our Restaurant Supervisor, you will support the management team in the day-to-day running of the restaurant. Leading from the floor, you will guide the team, anticipate guests' needs and make sure every service runs smoothly. You will also support training, stock control, ordering, opening and closing procedures, while ensuring our high standards are maintained throughout the restaurant.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the management team with training, stock takes and ordering
  • Opening and closing the restaurant in line with company procedures
  • Ensuring the restaurant is set, clean and ready for every service
  • Taking orders, coordinating courses and processing bills accurately
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the food and drinks menus
  • Maximising sales through excellent service and thoughtful recommendations
  • Responding professionally to guest requests, feedback and complaints
  • Ensuring all orders are correctly recorded through the EPOS system
  • Monitoring equipment and supplies and reporting any requirements
  • Providing clear handovers and supporting smooth daily operations

Salary: Up to £17.01 including service charge, plus benefits

Why Join Us?

  • Join an exciting new restaurant opening from the very beginning
  • Hands-on leadership training and ongoing development
  • Clear opportunities for career progression
  • The chance to grow across Creative Restaurant Group
  • Staff meals while on duty
