We are looking for an experienced Events and Pub manager. Reporting into the General Manager, this will be a multifaceted role with time split evenly between planning and leading events in the downstairs restaurants and running shifts in the pub, being the face of the business and developing rapport with the local clientele.

A deep understanding of great pub hospitality, connections in the West London creative and hospitality scene and demonstrable experience in events are essential. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes hospitality and wants to play a senior role in one of the most exciting new openings of 2026. Full beer knowledge, a burning desire to create the best guest experience possible and the ability to lead and develop a team to follow in this mantra is essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced busy pub environment, events contacts across different creative industries and a genuine passion for hosting and entertaining. This could be a great role for an experienced Events or Bar Manager wanting to step up and take on more responsibility.

The Peacock is Marylebone's newest independent pub and dining room. With all the trappings of a great traditional boozer on the ground floor, the basement dining room will feature a South Asian inspired pub menu. The project is from the renowned Harneet Baweja Hospitality Company, who launched Michelin Bib-Gourmand winning restaurants Gunpowder and Empire Empire.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of Events Diary, Group Bookings and Private Dining
  • Business Development outreach for corporate events, brand partnerships and weddings
  • Oversee ordering, stock takes and cellar management
  • Write the bar rota and lead the team from the front during key services
  • Lead and inspire the team to consistently look to improve the guest experience
  • Ensure the highest standards of service possible are adhered to at all times
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of the restaurant and work alongside the General Manager to keep the business moving forward and in line with all financial and due diligence targets
  • Following and maintaining all HACCP procedures
  • Supporting the wider pub and restaurant teams with delegating daily tasks and setting in place effective processes
  • Being an ambassador for our brand through exceptional teamwork and fostering a supportive environment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as an events manager in a hospitality environment
  • A high level of service skills and a demonstrable ability to share this knowledge with the team, growing and developing staff members
  • Excellent leadership skills, a positive attitude and a great communicator
  • Good commercial acumen
  • A strong knowledge of industry trends and a finger on the pulse of West London events scene
