Were recruiting on behalf of an established bespoke joinery and furniture manufacturer looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy workshop.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for organising workflow, managing production staff, resolving issues and ensuring projects move through manufacture safely, efficiently and on schedule.
The Role
Organise and supervise the daily workload across the workshop.
Allocate work to Bench Joiners, Machinists, CNC Operators and other production staff.
Monitor production progress and ensure deadlines are achieved.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks or manufacturing issues.
Ensure materials, components and drawings are available before production begins.
Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
Maintain accurate job cards and production documentation.
Ensure completed work moves efficiently between departments.
Support and guide production staff throughout the day.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.
Requirements
Previous supervisory experience within bespoke joinery, cabinetry, furniture or a similar manufacturing environment.
Strong practical understanding of workshop production and joinery manufacturing.
Confident managing and allocating workloads across different production departments.
Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings and production information.
Strong quality-control and problem-solving skills.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a hands-on role alongside the production team.
Strong understanding of workshop Health & Safety.
The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping production organised, maintaining quality standards and ensuring projects progress efficiently through the workshop.
