Academics are looking to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for one of our highly valued schools located in the Sandwell area which starts September 2026 until Christmas. This is a full-time Monday to Friday vacancy.
The successful HLTA must be able to cover classes and small groups in EYFS, KS1, and KS2. You will ideally have the necessary qualifications and experience to teach an entire class as well as several year groups in a primary school. Assisting SEN pupils is also a crucial part of the role, meaning you will also be expected to support small groups and 1-to-1s when needed.
Qualifications that we will consider for this role:
- Teaching Assistant related (Level 2+)
- University graduates (with relevant degree)
- Childcare related (Level 2+)
- Health and social care related (Ideally will need either school experience or basic knowledge on the relevant curriculum)
- Unqualified teaching assistant with classroom experience
HLTA Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
