Are you an experienced Industrial Electrician or Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a permanent Monday-to-Friday day-shift role within a growing manufacturing environment? We are recruiting for an Industrial Electrician to join a successful, fast-growing manufacturing business in Sleaford. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintaining, fault finding and installing electrical equipment across a busy production facility. You will work closely with production and engineering colleagues to keep machinery operating safely and efficiently, while also supporting the installation and development of new production equipment.

If you enjoy solving electrical problems, improving machinery reliability and working in an environment where you can have a genuine impact, this could be an excellent next move.

The Role

As Industrial Electrician, you will carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across a range of production and auxiliary equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Electrical fault finding and breakdown response across production machinery
  • Identifying root causes of faults and implementing preventative solutions
  • Carrying out planned and preventative electrical maintenance
  • Safe installation and upkeep of production and auxiliary equipment
  • Supporting the installation and commissioning of new production lines and machinery
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
  • Building and completing control panels from electrical drawings
  • Working with inverter drives and associated electrical equipment
  • Supporting engineering projects, including the construction of converting machinery
  • Carrying out regular plant inspections and identifying potential maintenance requirements
  • Ensuring machinery is safe before being handed back to production
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality at all times

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced Industrial Electricians, Electrical Maintenance Engineers or electrically biased Maintenance Engineers with experience working within manufacturing, production or a similar industrial environment. You will ideally have:

  • A recognised Level 3 electrical qualification, such as City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Previous electrical maintenance experience on production or manufacturing machinery
  • Strong electrical breakdown and fault-finding skills
  • Experience installing new machinery, equipment or production lines
  • Knowledge of inverter drives
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Experience completing or wiring control panels from electrical drawings
  • A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of an engineering and production team

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to join a growing, family-based manufacturing business where individuals are encouraged to contribute ideas and make a genuine difference. You will work in a varied engineering environment where the focus is not simply on reacting to breakdowns, but on identifying root causes, improving equipment reliability and developing better ways of working. The position also offers the significant benefit of a Monday-to-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm working pattern, providing greater consistency than many traditional manufacturing engineering shift roles.
