Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday-Friday (40 hours)

Mller Milk & Ingredients is at the heart of the UK's dairy supply chain, collecting and processing milk from farms across the country and supplying customers with high-quality dairy products and ingredients. We're looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead and champion our HSE agenda, helping us maintain world-class standards while supporting a culture where safety and wellbeing come first. You'll work closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance and make a genuine difference across the site. As Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, you'll lead and embed a culture of HSE excellence, ensuring our people can perform at their best while driving continuous improvement across the site. You'll provide expert advice as part of the Site Leadership Team, influence stakeholders at all levels and ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and coordinate Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the site.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the factory floor engaging with operators and shift teams.
  • Deliver and maintain risk assessments, safe systems of work and machinery safety checks.
  • Conduct accident and incident investigations and support root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH, PUWER, RIDDOR and industry specific safety requirements.
  • Support site certifications including ISO 14001.
  • Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks and HSE training.
  • Collaborate with Food Safety, Technical, Engineering and Operations teams.
  • Identify trends, analyse data and drive continuous improvement actions.
  • Promote a proactive, open and positive safety culture.

What we're looking for:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • IOSH membership
  • An environment qualification such as AIEMA H&S auditing/training qualification
  • Previous Health & Safety experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG food or related environment
  • Strong track record of frontline engagement on the production floor
  • Practical experience with accident investigation, risk assessments and day to day HSE delivery
  • Understanding of food manufacturing operations, including hygiene zones, allergens and fast moving machinery
  • Hands on, people focussed leadership style
  • Able to influence and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Confident working in a fast-paced FMCG environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
