Job Description

Increase Your Earnings with Overtime Rates of Up to £33.87 Per Hour Available Regularly for Those Looking to Maximise Their Take-Home Pay!

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at Morrisons RDC in Sittingbourne to support our General Haulage Operations. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis shift pattern 4 on 4 off working any across Days and Nights.

Pay Rates:

  • Mon - Fri Day Shift - £17.37 per hour
  • Mon - Fri Night Shift - £20.84 per hour
  • Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £19.11 per hour
  • Saturday and Sunday Night Shift - £22.58 per hour
  • Bank Holidays - £18.96 per hour

Overtime paid at 1.5x your base hourly rate after 45 hours worked per week, giving you the opportunity to earn up to £33.87 per hour. If you're looking to boost your take-home pay, regular overtime opportunities are available.

Driver Responsibilities:

  • General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
  • Well planned multi-drop deliveries within a 125 mile radius
  • No requirement for Manual Handling
  • Trunking Opportunities available depending on availability
  • Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
  • Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
  • Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
  • Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation

Qualifications

  • You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers)
  • No more than 6 points and no DD/DR Code convictions
  • Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards
  • Understand and able to comply with Drivers hours and WTD legislation
  • Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
  • Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
