Where will you be working?
You’ll be working across Rail, Aviation, Defence & Adjacent Markets. You’ll visit major international airports, see our wide range of specialist rail engineering projects across the UK and be involved in the maintenance and upgrades of defence properties, airfields, military bases, ports, railway infrastructure and depots. This role is within our M&E Division.
What will you be doing?
- Cost Management: Can you prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets? You’ll ensure effective financial control from pre-construction to final account.
- Contract Administration: Are you experienced in managing contracts and negotiating terms? You’ll lead this process with confidence and clarity.
- Risk & Procurement: Do you excel at identifying risks and managing procurement processes? You’ll ensure projects stay on track, within budget, and on time.
- Team Collaboration & Leadership: Are you enthusiastic about mentoring others? You’ll share your expertise and support junior staff to ensure project success.
- CVR: Monthly preparation and presentation of cost and value.
- Change Management: Ensuring recovery of cost and/or time where required.
What you will bring
- Qualifications: Do you have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field? MRICS or CICES accreditation is preferred.
- Experience: Have you worked in civil engineering, rail, aviation, defence, or other safety-critical sectors? We’re looking for significant experience.
- Skills: Are you proficient with cost management software (Oracle) and Microsoft Office? Do you have strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills?
