Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead their MOTS & SHAP services in Shepton Mallet. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate leader who is committed to delivering high-quality support services and empowering individuals to achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

As Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred support. You will lead and develop a team, monitor service performance, manage budgets and resources, and build strong partnerships with external organisations and stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring contractual requirements and quality standards are met while driving continuous improvement across the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and manage a team to deliver high-quality support services.
  • Monitor and improve service performance against contractual targets and quality standards.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Support, coach and develop staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders.
  • Promote person-centred and trauma-informed approaches across the service.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and respond to operational needs as required.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience managing teams within homelessness, housing, social care, or a related support service.
  • Strong leadership, communication and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
  • Experience managing service performance, budgets and achieving quality standards and contractual targets.
  • A commitment to delivering person-centred, trauma-informed support.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota.

Additional Information

Regular travel between services and partner organisations may be required. Permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. Based in Shepton Mallet.
