Are you an experienced Control & Combustion Technician, Combustion Engineer, Controls Engineer, Instrumentation Technician or Furnace Engineer with experience working on industrial furnaces in heavy engineering?

We're recruiting a Control & Combustion Technician for a large heavy engineering manufacturer in Sheffield.

What we're looking for
The successful Control & Combustion Technician will ideally have experience with:
Industrial furnaces and combustion systems
Burners and furnace controls
Heavy engineering, steel, forging, foundry or similar environments
Controls and instrumentation
PLC fault finding
Electrical fault finding
Temperature and process control
Planned and reactive maintenance
Fault finding on complex industrial equipment
The key requirement is genuine furnace experience within a heavy industrial environment.

The role
As a Control & Combustion Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, fault finding and improving the site's furnace, combustion and control systems.

This will include:
Planned and reactive maintenance
Furnace and combustion fault finding
Controls and instrumentation
PLC and electrical fault finding
Supporting furnace and burner systems
Process and temperature controls
Supporting equipment reliability and performance
Continuous improvement
Working alongside engineering and production teams
