We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead catering operations within a warm and welcoming residential care home setting in the S36 area. You will be responsible for planning nutritious, well-balanced meal menus tailored to residents' dietary and medical requirements, managing kitchen staff, ordering stock, and ensuring high standards of food hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and lead a small, dedicated catering team.
- Prepare fresh, high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to elderly residents (including textured/modified diets).
- Manage food inventory, ordering, budget control, and supplier relationships.
- Ensure strict adherence to Food Safety, HACCP, COSHH, and CQC compliance standards.
Requirements
- Proven culinary experience in a residential care home or similar healthcare/assisted living environment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene certification (or equivalent).
- Understanding of IDDSI standards and specialized dietary needs for care residents.
