Water Engineer, £30k - £38k, Signing Bonus+Company Car+Pension+Overtime+Private Healthcare
We are seeking an experienced Water Engineer to join a well-established, growing water utilities contractor operating across Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Devon.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive business offering long-term employment, training and genuine career progression.
As the new Water Engineer, you will carry out hands-on clean water network works including repairing and maintaining water mains and services, leak detection and repairs, excavations, connections and reinstatement.
You will also be responsible for leading a small gang and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The successful Water Engineer will have proven experience working directly on clean water networks.
This is a hands-on site-based role and would suit someone experienced in physically carrying out water network works.
Required Water Engineer Experience
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Water Hygiene Card.
- NRSWA Street Works Certification - essential for Team Leaders/Gangers.
- Hands-on clean water network experience.
- Experience repairing and laying water mains and services.
- Experience with connections, leak repairs and reinstatement.
- Experience leading or running a small gang.
- Cat & Genny experience.
- Excavator/Dumper, First Aid, Manual Handling, Lifting Operations or Banksman qualifications desirable.
As the new Water Engineer, you will be expected to deliver high-quality work across water network projects, lead your team effectively, maintain excellent health and safety standards and communicate professionally with customers and the public.
What is offered
- £13.00-£19.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- £500 signing-on bonus after 6 months.
- Overtime available.

- 28 days' holiday, increasing with service.
