Are you an experienced consultative sales professional who thrives on building relationships and managing customers through a complete sales journey? Our client is a market-leading specialist providing bespoke solutions to the education and public sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Senior Sales Consultant to manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion while developing long-term customer relationships.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of field sales, account management and consultative selling, with the support of an experienced internal team handling appointments, proposals and administration.
The Role
As a Senior Project Sales Consultant, you'll be responsible for managing the complete customer journey, from conducting site visits and understanding client requirements through to presenting solutions and securing orders. You'll work closely with schools, academies, local authorities and other organisations, becoming a trusted advisor while ensuring an outstanding customer experience throughout every project.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct customer site surveys and identify project requirements.
- Deliver solution-based sales presentations and consultations.
- Manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM and proactive follow-up.
- Build lasting relationships with schools, academies and public sector organisations.
- Attend customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
- Work alongside internal project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Carry out project handovers and provide customer training where required.
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales performance targets.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience. You'll ideally have:
- Experience in consultative or solution-based sales with an emphasis on design.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and CRM system.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- A proactive, target-driven approach with strong commercial awareness.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East.
- Experience selling into education, public sector or specification-led environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
