The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its thriving Private Client department. This represents an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious senior lawyer looking to take the next step towards Partnership within a well-established and highly respected practice.

You will advise a loyal and high-quality client base across the full spectrum of Private Client work, whilst playing an important role in mentoring junior colleagues, supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the department. This role offers genuine autonomy, high levels of client contact and the opportunity to become a key figure within one of the firm's busiest departments.

The Role

As a Senior Private Client Solicitor, you will:

  • Manage a varied and complex Private Client caseload.
  • Advise clients on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Provide advice on Trust creation, Trust administration and wealth preservation.
  • Advise on Court of Protection matters.
  • Provide inheritance tax and succession planning advice.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients and professional referrers.
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Support networking, marketing initiatives and business development.
  • Participate in seminars, legal clinics and community events.
  • Maintain the highest standards of client care and file management.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

  • Approximately 10+ years' experience within Private Client law.
  • A strong technical background across the full spectrum of Private Client work.
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
  • Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in developing new business.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent drafting and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Lexcel standards would be advantageous.
  • Strong IT and case management skills.
  • A genuine ambition to progress towards Partnership.
