This isn't a desk-based role. You'll be out on-site, building relationships, influencing behaviours, and ensuring that safety isn't just a requirement; it's embedded in everything we do.

Why This Role Stands Out

Reporting to the Safety, Health and Environmental Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Contracts and Installation teams, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our products while driving continuous improvement in our HSE systems. With projects across the South East and wider UK, this role is ideal for those based within the M25 corridor or commuting distance of London. Travel is a key part of the role, with occasional overnight stays.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing site-specific RAMS for construction and installation activities
  • Carrying out site inspections and audits across multiple locations
  • Partnering with Site Managers and Installation Teams to promote safe working practices
  • Providing practical, hands-on HSE advice to employees and contractors
  • Leading incident and accident investigations, identifying improvements and preventative measures
  • Delivering toolbox talks, safety communications and management reports
  • Supporting tender submissions with HSE input
  • Maintaining training, competency and compliance records
  • Keeping ahead of legislative changes and ensuring company compliance
  • Acting as a trusted HSE advisor to both internal teams and external clients

What We're Looking For

  • Essential: NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a construction-focused Health & Safety role
  • Strong track record of writing RAMS
  • Solid understanding of CDM Regulations 2015
  • CSCS card (Manager level or relevant qualification)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • A self-starter who can work independently while building strong relationships

Desirable

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards)
  • IOSH Membership (or working towards)
  • Environmental qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate)

What You'll Get in Return

We value our people and offer a competitive and comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Company vehicle (Toyota Corolla Tourer)
  • Fuel card
  • Pension scheme with up to 6% employer matching
  • Life assurance (4x salary)
  • Permanent Health Insurance (2/3 salary)
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Enhanced Company Sick Pay
  • Staff kitchen discount (trade price less 25%)

Why Join Omega PLC?
