We're looking for a Senior Architect to join our Architectural team based in Liverpool.
Location: Liverpool
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, some flexibility on hours available if desired.
Salary: Starting from £40,000 per annum

This is a key leadership role within Kier Design's growing Architecture team, offering the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects across a diverse sector portfolio. You will take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring high-quality design, commercial performance, and successful delivery on site.
Working within a collaborative, integrated environment, you will lead and develop teams, drive design excellence, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and technical requirements. You will also play a key role in supporting business growth through client engagement, bid work, and promoting the Architecture discipline both internally and externally.

- Provide direction, QA oversight, and audit support across all stages of design and construction?
- Champion Architecture within the business and expand service offerings to internal and external clients?
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Architect, you'll support the delivery of schemes within the Kier Design team, including:
- Lead delivery of complex architectural projects across all RIBA stages
- Own commercial performance, including budget, programme, and resourcing
- Ensure compliance with environmental, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Plan and manage team resources in line with project workload forecasts
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality design solutions
- Oversee concept and detailed design production, including presentations
- Administer contracts (JCT/NEC) and support delivery through to site
- Drive bids, feasibility studies, and planning applications to win work
- Support, mentor, and lead architects across the team
- Build client relationships, generate new opportunities, and promote Kier Design
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Architect is great for you if you:
- Have excellent architectural design capability with strong technical detailing
- Have proven experience leading and managing design teams
- Have strong knowledge of regulations, procurement, and project delivery
- Have experience across contract administration, site delivery, and project management
- Possess advanced BIM capability using Revit / Autodesk
- Have demonstrable experience across all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work
