Responsibilities in your new role as Sous Chef:
- Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to a consistent standard
- Lead, motivate and support the kitchen team during service
- Manage stock levels, ordering and food costs
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
- Assist with menu planning using fresh, seasonal Scottish produce
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an excellent guest experience
- Support weddings, private dining and special events
- Help develop new dishes and continually improve the food offering
Your personality, experience and qualifications:
- You have previous experience as a Sous Chef in a 5-star or luxury hospitality setting.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes
- Experience contributing to seasonal menu planning and development
- Confident leading, motivating and developing a kitchen team
- Excellent communication skills with a strong command of English
- Organised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
- A positive, hands-on approach with a commitment to high standards
