The Role
As a Driver, you will safely transport service users to and from care centres, schools, and other community locations.
Working as part of a professional transport team based at the central depot in Dunstable , you will provide a vital door-to-door service while ensuring passengers feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport service users to and from designated locations.
Assist passengers when boarding and exiting vehicles.
Operate tail-lifts and safely handle wheelchairs and mobility equipment where required.
Provide a reliable door-to-door transport service.
Support passengers with dignity, patience, and respect.
Promote the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of passengers throughout their journey.
Work collaboratively with Passenger Assistants, Transport Officers, and the wider transport team.
Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain high standards of service.

Essential Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence with D1 (no restrications) entitlement , PCV Licence , or a Taxi Licence
Previous driving experience

Good communication skills
Ability to assist passengers with mobility needs
