We are recruiting for a Buyer to join a well established global organisation based in Saltash .
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional to join a busy procurement team, ensuring the timely supply of materials required to support manufacturing operations.
This is a full-time, permanent position based onsite, five days per week.
Responsibilities Raise and manage purchase orders to ensure materials are delivered on time and in line with production requirements.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers.
Monitor supplier delivery schedules and proactively manage any delays or shortages.
Process internal stores requisitions and material requests.
Review engineering changes and communicate updates to suppliers where required.
Use the ERP/MRP system to monitor stock levels, material availability and lead times.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information and procurement data.
Support inventory management by planning orders in line with demand and lead times.
Resolve purchase order and invoice queries in conjunction with the Finance team.
Utilise Microsoft Excel and purchasing systems to support order tracking, reporting and procurement administration.
Work closely with internal departments including Production, Stores and Engineering to ensure continuity of supply.
Experience Previous experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role is essential.
End to end procurement experience would be advantageous Experience using ERP/MRP systems (Sage beneficial but not essential) Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Good analytical and problem solving ability.
Competent user of Microsoft applications.
Confident communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This is a permanent opportunity offering a salary of up to £32,000 per annum, working onsite Monday to Friday.
