We are working with a growing chemical manufacturing company in Cheshire. They manufacture products used in UK industrial processes.
The Role
The company’s products focus on reducing manufacturing downtime through a deep understanding of the manufacturing processes they are being used in. This requires site visits to prospects and clients to ensure products are used correctly. Your role is to conduct telesales based market work and coordinate scheduling of these meetings by your colleagues working on the field based sales team.
- Account Coordination: Contact key accounts, customers and new prospects to discuss operational factors and schedule site visits for your colleagues.
- Sales Outreach: Conduct regular phone outreach to introduce the product range to prospects and customers and maintain strong sales contact from the business to its customer base.
- CRM Data Management: Log all call notes and client information accurately onto the CRM system.
- Relationship Building: You will build relationships in this role and maintain regular contact with customers eventually building long-term commercial understanding via strong relationships.
Product and sales training is provided.
Your Background
- Experience: A background in telesales, telemarketing, or internal sales is preferred. Candidates from chemical or STEM backgrounds motivated to transition into a commercial/sales role are encouraged to apply. Experience is not necessary; if you like the sound of this role, we are keen to hear from you.
- Recent Graduates/Course Finishers from STEM courses, or those who have experience of customer connection (B2C, B2B such as working in an office or other customer-facing role i.e. bar or cafe) and are keen to find their first industrial sales role following College or University, with no chemical industry experience, are encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Our client’s primary means of business contact with their customers is the phone and we are seeking someone comfortable with a high volume of daily outbound calls, happy to work mostly speaking with customers over the phone.
- Skills: Strong record-keeping, attention to detail, and ICT literacy (CRM/MS Office).
