Company profile: We are working with a well-established distributor of packaging consumables that provides a complete packaging solution to each one of its clients.
Role and Responsibilities: We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to be an integral part of a sales team providing back-office support (including providing quotes and placing orders) to enable a field sales packaging specialist to spend their time actively selling, as well as account management to generate new sales orders.
Keys responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Support to allocated Packaging Specialist/s (Field sales)
- Generate quotes
- Process orders
- Liaise with Warehouse to check order on course and inform customers of any potential delays/problems escalating to packaging specialist when appropriate
- Deal with customer enquiries
- Escalate issues to packaging specialist as and when required
- Account Management/Sales
- Provide account management for allocated customers including:
- Be main point of call for all enquiries
- Manage stock levels for call off stock
- Deal with any queries/complaints escalating when appropriate
- Proactively target new and inactive customers with the aim of gaining sales/regular custom
- Actively cross-sell and up-sell products to existing customers
- General Admin
- Answer incoming calls and relocate them to the appropriate person if necessary
- Respond to emails that come into general sales email address
- File quotes and orders
Qualifications and knowledge:
- Worked in a similar internal sales role
- Worked for Wholesaler/Merchant preferable but not essential
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good planning and organisation skills
- Strong IT skills including using email, word, Business Central (or similar customer order system)
- Sales skills
Salary & Benefits:
- £26,765.00, rising to £28,394.89
- 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays
