An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Toolmaker to join a well-established manufacturing business during an exciting period of growth.

You will be responsible for the manufacture, repair and maintenance of production tooling, ensuring equipment remains in excellent working condition to support efficient manufacturing operations.

This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of precision, technical expertise and attention to detail, working within a busy toolroom environment to meet demanding production schedules.

Toolmaker Key Responsibilities
Manufacture, repair and maintain production tooling to support manufacturing requirements.

Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on tooling to minimise production downtime.

Produce components to precise specifications and tight engineering tolerances.

Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Transfer technical information from drawings into finished products with a high degree of accuracy.

Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Maintain accurate records where required and comply with company procedures.

Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve tooling issues efficiently.

Follow safe working practices at all times and contribute to a safe working environment.

Toolmaker - About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking or Production Engineering.

Previous experience working within a busy toolroom or manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of tool manufacture, repair and maintenance techniques.

The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances.

Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A strong commitment to health and safety and safe working practices.
