Quest Employment is currently recruiting for a Baler Operative to join a busy recycling and waste management facility in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the recycling process by operating baling equipment and ensuring recyclable materials are processed efficiently. This is a temp to perm opportunity offering long-term stability with a well-established company.
The Role
- Operating the baling machine safely and efficiently
- Loading and processing recyclable materials including cardboard, plastic and other waste streams
- Monitoring the baling process and reporting any faults or maintenance requirements
- Tying, labelling and moving completed bales ready for collection or storage
- Keeping the work area clean, tidy and organised
- Carrying out manual handling duties as required
- Following all health & safety procedures and site regulations
- Supporting the wider recycling team with general warehouse and yard duties when required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a recycling, warehouse, production or waste environment is desirable but not essential
- Good level of physical fitness as the role involves manual handling
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures
- Flexible to work a rotating 5 out of 7 day shift pattern
