Located in Putney, with excellent transport links across South West London, the Primary Maths Leader will teach a Year 6 class while taking responsibility for developing Mathematics across the school. Responsibilities include:
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and effective Maths lessons
- Support pupils preparing for KS2 SATs through high-quality teaching and intervention strategies
- Analyse assessment data and identify opportunities to improve pupil outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues to strengthen Maths teaching approaches
- Promote confidence, reasoning and problem-solving skills across the curriculum
Applicants must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience teaching in a primary setting is essential, with strong Year 6 teaching experience highly desirable. Previous Maths leadership or subject leadership experience is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills, with a passion for improving outcomes in Mathematics being essential.
