Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Independent Living Team Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy Independent Living service. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll oversee a team of nine Independent Living Coordinators, ensuring high standards of service delivery while supporting residents to live safely and independently. This is an operational management position focused on supporting staff, maintaining performance, and ensuring the smooth running of the service.
The Role
You'll provide day-to-day leadership and support to the team, managing workloads, rotas, annual leave and sickness while offering guidance on complex cases and acting as the main point of escalation. You'll help maintain consistency across the service, ensuring residents receive a high-quality, person-centred service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of 9 Independent Living Coordinators.
- Manage rotas, annual leave, sickness absence and mileage approvals.
- Provide advice and guidance on complex resident cases.
- Act as the escalation point for operational issues and case decisions.
- Ensure high standards of housing management and independent living support.
- Monitor team performance, workloads and service delivery.
- Build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and partner agencies.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and resident wellbeing.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with council policies.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience within housing, supported housing or independent living services.
- Has previous supervisory or team coordination experience, or is an experienced Housing Officer ready for the next step.
- Is confident supporting staff and making day-to-day operational decisions.
- Has excellent organisational, communication and people management skills.
- Can provide practical guidance on case management and service delivery.
- Is proactive, approachable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
