Location: Rugby Town Hall

Contract: 3-Month Temporary Assignment

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Working Pattern: 4 days office-based, 1 day remote working

Pay Rate (PAYE): £17.18 - £18.85 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Housing Officer to join our team on a 3-month temporary contract based in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with housing management experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality services to tenants and supporting local communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a designated housing patch and act as the main point of contact for tenants.
  • Deliver an effective tenancy management service, including tenancy sign-ups, visits, and sustainment.
  • Investigate and resolve tenancy-related issues, including anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes.
  • Carry out estate inspections and identify areas requiring improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to support residents.
  • Ensure compliance with housing policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide excellent customer service at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Housing Officer or in a similar housing management role.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
  • Business use insurance for your vehicle is required, or you must be willing and able to obtain business insurance for work-related travel.
