A leading supplier in the motorsport sector is growing their CNC turning team in Leamington Spa and has 3 openings across different shift patterns. If you're a CNC turner/turning technician who likes small-batch, high-quality work (motorsport + aerospace transmission components), this is a strong opportunity with real variety in shifts and options for contract or permanent, depending on what suits you.
Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire (CV31 1FQ) - on-site.
Shift options + pay:
- Day shift (temporary contract only): PAYE: £18.38/hr + £2.67 holiday; Umbrella: £25.16/hr
- Weekday nights (Mon-Thu) - contract or permanent: PAYE: £22.06/hr + £3.21 holiday (includes 20% shift premium); Umbrella: £30.19/hr (includes 20% shift premium); Permanent salary: £42,400-£43,500 DOE (includes 20% premium + benefits)
- Weekend shift (Fri-Sun) - 3 x 12-hour shifts - contract or permanent: PAYE: £24.56/hr + £3.57 holiday (includes 30% weekend premium); Umbrella: £33.62/hr (includes 30% weekend premium); Permanent salary: £43,700-£47,300 DOE (includes 30% weekend premium + benefits)
What you'll be doing:
- Small batch CNC turning to tight tolerances on high-quality components
- Working from technical drawings and route cards to hit quality and time expectations
- Reading/editing programmes and adjusting speeds/feeds when needed
- Using turning tools correctly (insert selection, application, etc.)
- Supporting other manufacturing areas when required, with overtime flexibility during delivery pushes
- Contributing ideas - this team values people who spot issues early and improve how things are done
Machines you may work on include: Victor Turn II 26 HD, Leadwell LTC 25iL (Siemens 828D), Doosan Puma GT3100
What we need from you:
- Solid CNC turning experience in a production/precision environment
- Confident reading technical drawings
- Fanuc controls experience is essential
- Comfortable editing programmes at the machine
- Nice to have: Siemens controls exposure, Manual lathe / Harrison Alpha 400 Plus NC lathe experience
