HGV Class 1 Driver – Rotherham, South Yorkshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering £16.00 per hour , ongoing work, weekly pay, a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, and career progression within a reputable logistics operation.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver , LGV Class 1 Driver , Category CE Driver , Articulated Lorry Driver , Trunk Driver or Class 1 Delivery Driver .
- Shifts
- Monday to Friday (nights out may be required)
- Start times between 04:00 – 07:00 or 12:00 – 16:00
- Weekend work available to meet business needs

Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include
- Completing depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps
- Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
- Undertaking handball duties where required
- Adhering to road traffic legislation, company procedures and delivery schedules
- Completing all relevant paperwork accurately
Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will need
- Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence
- Minimum of one year's HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
- Good spoken and written English
- Professional and reliable approach to work
- Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience Training Provided
- Driver assessment required prior to start
- Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
