About the Role Omnia are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our growing Finance team based in Rotherham.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, with hybrid working available for the right candidate.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, taking ownership of your workload while working closely with the wider team.

Key Responsibilities Process supplier invoices accurately and maintain the purchase ledger.
Raise, process, and reconcile purchase orders.
Carry out daily bank and company credit card reconciliations.
Process and reconcile company credit card transactions and supporting receipts.
Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any discrepancies.
Maintain reconciliation schedules and ensure financial records remain accurate.
Respond to supplier and customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and general finance administration.
Support the Finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
About You Essential Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and reconciliations.
Desirable Experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software.
AAT qualified, currently studying, or interested in pursuing an AAT qualification.
Experience working within a busy or growing business environment.
