Monday to Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm, 40 Hours Per Week
We're looking for an experienced Rolling Stock Fitter to join a busy team working on vehicle, bogie and rail overhauls. If you've got the hands-on skills, a great eye for detail, and enjoy working on large-scale engineering projects, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing
- Stripping, rebuilding and fitting mechanical components
- Working on large vehicle and coach overhaul projects
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
- Using hand and power tools to cut, fit, assemble and modify components
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure everything lines up perfectly
- Following Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a safe workshop environment
What We're Looking For
- Proven Mechanical Fitter experience in a technical or production environment
- Experience working on vehicles, rolling stock, coaches, heavy engineering or similar
- The ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings
- Strong hand and power tool skills
- A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset
- Experience in rail, aviation, military, marine or heavy vehicle sectors (desirable)
- Basic electrical schematic reading skills (a bonus, not essential)
